WHICH PIGTAIL KITE KNOT TO USE ON YOUR SLINGSHOT KITE

You may be wondering how the pigtail knots will change the performance of your kite. Your Slingshot kite comes trimmed and ready to fly. A lot of time is spent making sure that a kite flies perfectly out of the box, so you don’t need to mess around with these knots very much. Most of the time, nine times out of ten, you’re going to be using the end knots or the same knots throughout all the lines. The most important thing to know is that you use the same knots on your front lines and the same knots on your rear lines, these knots enable you to further trim the kite if you need to for whatever reason. Most of the time you’re not going to need these knots. Personally, I never changed them, but just so you know, if you were to shorten the front lines, then you’re going to have more depower. If you were to shorten the rear lines, you’re going to have more power and it’s simple as that. You’re going to have a lot more trim available on the bar, both sheeting in and out and depowering a kite, because that is effectively just the same as moving these knots. Simple as that guys, thanks for watching this Slingtech video about which pigtails to use. 9 TIMES OUT OF 10, I JUST USE THE END KNOTS. ON THE FRONT LINES I USE THE END KNOT, BUT IF I THINK I’M GOING TO BE REALLY OVERPOWERED I MIGHT BUMP IT UP ONE OR TWO. PIGTAILS HIGHLIGHTED IN THE RED BOXES.
